It’s the time of year our family has been waiting for again…Halloween! We decided to get into the Halloween spirit with a little Halloween party. Every year we invite our friends and neighbors over to decorate and enjoy some of the season’s favorite treats. I picked up everything I needed for the celebration at ALDI — who would have known I could get everything from pumpkins and gourds to our favorite candies and cute Halloween décor in one stop!
It’s our third year in a row and we are determined to make this a Duff-Rosenberg tradition! We make lots of food and treats for the kids, and everyone arrives decked out in their finest Halloween attire!
My favorite part of Halloween is the décor and I have a few tricks (and treats) for a great party! I love all the Halloween and fall-inspired décor that I found at ALDI! I found these adorable little figures and beautiful black flameless candle lanterns to scatter throughout my kitchen to set the mood! Plus, they have an amazing selection of gourds and pumpkins!! (For a limited time!)
As a mama of two, I am into no-mess situations! So instead of carving, we love to paint our pumpkins! I let Ryan go wild on all different shapes and sizes! Even if she ends up mixing all the colors … it’s great! They all end up kinda dark and spooky!
And Halloween is all about the CANDY! I love that ALDI has the greatest selection of Halloween candy. I found it all during my ALDI shop – brands like Reese’s Peanut Butter Pumpkins,
Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups Snack Size, Hershey’s Kit Kat Snack Size, Hershey’s All Time Greats, Sour Patch Zombie Kids, Smarties, Tootsie Roll Pops, Tootsie Roll Child’s Play
Favorites from Mars Chocolates — Milky Way, Snickers, Twix, LifeSavers, Skittles and Starburst! Literally ALL of your favorites.
I love to use candy in my décor too! Simply fill “grab bowls” with candy combos! It looks great all around the house and adds lots of Halloween vibe, but offers sweet treat to your guests too!
Speaking of treats, I like to make something special for the kids! This year I made chocolate “spiders” using Reese’s Peanut Butter Pumpkins, broken pretzel pieces and some icing!
These are sure to be a big spooky hit!
Since I spend so much time decorating, getting everyone dressed up and prepping for the party, I like to keep the food easy! So we grabbed a couple of Mama Cozzi’s 16” Pepperoni Deli Pizza’s to feed everyone. It’s a quick, delicious dinner before hitting the street to trick or treat!
It is a lot of effort to be the hostess with the mostest!! But ALDI has certainly made it easy on me this year!! Let the spooky festivities begin!
