Now that Ryan is two, I am always looking for healthy snacks that have a fun twist to them! She loves bright colors and sugary things- like cookies and ice cream! Obviously I can’t give the girl cookies and ice cream at every whim!! However, I can give her an ice cream cone with a little big of sugary goodness and a TON of fruit! The fruit and tiny bit of chocolate hit the sweet tooth that she is craving but fills her up with something more nutritious.
Here is how I make them…
I melt chocolate morsels in the microwave, then dip the cones! Scatter with sprinkles before the chocolate sets.
Fill the cones with fruit and mini marshmallows!
Serve em’ up! So delicious but so super cute too!
Unicorn Fruit Cones
Box of ice cream cones
1/2 bag milk chocolate morsels
2 T rainbow sprinkles
5 strawberries, chopped
1 small banana
1/2 c. rainbow marshmallow minis
Melt the chocolate morsels in glass dish in the microwave for 30 seconds, stir, then 30 seconds more.
Dip the tops of the cones in to the chocolate and scatter with sprinkles before it sets. Place in the refrigerator for 5 minutes to help the chocolate set. Fill cones with chopped fruit and marshmallows.
