
America, home of the free…and the brave…and the chili cheese hot dog lovers!!! All american holidays require good ol’ American grub and to me, that’s burgers and hot dogs!

But not just plain dogs with ketchup or mustard…fabulous dogs (like Kobe Beef Hot Dogs!) smothered in delicious chili and cheese with spicy jalapeño rings!

The topping ideas are endless…so get as creative as you want…

Jalapeño Chili Dog

Cook Time: 20 mins
You need:
Hot dogs
Buns
1-2 fresh jalapeños
Grated cheddar cheese
Chopped onion
For Chili:
1-1.5 lbs of organic/grass fed ground beef
1 can of refried beans ( I love Annie’s organics)
1 big tbsp of tomato paste
1/4 cup water (if needed)
1 tbsp of onion powder
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp kosher salt
1tsp black pepper
In a medium pot, break up and sauté ground beef till it’s no longer pink. Add beans and tomato paste. Combine well. Add seasoning and let simmer for 10 minutes. Top hot dogs with chili and all of your favorite toppings.
