My 1st Mother’s Day

It certainly feels like a surreal moment to be sitting here typing this post. It feels like just yesterday that I was pregnant with Ryan, and wondering when she would decide to grace us with her presence!

Last year, Mother’s day fell on May 10th…the day before Ryan was born. Even though I felt like a mother, I technically wasn’t one yet! That means that this year is pretty exciting for me. I have truly loved becoming a mommy. If you follow me on instagram or snapchat, you may have noticed that I kind of like her just a little bit…haha…just kidding! I’m totally bonkers for this child!

I now understand all those sayings…the ones that go something like “you will never know how much I love you until you have your own child”…

Well, I get those sayings now… I get them so hard! I am so grateful for this wonderful child that has come in to our lives and to the wonderful man who gave her to me. The gift of becoming a mother is something I hope I will never take for granted.

To all the Mother’s, Mom’s to be, Mom’s that want-to-be, Mom’s that embrace other people’s children as their own, Dog Mom’s, etc…There is nothing quite like what Mom’s do…it’s the hardest job in the world but the greatest honor there is…

From my heart to yours….Happy Mother’s Day!
