Spring is here and it means we are embarking upon my favorite time of year! All of the Farmer’s Markets are starting to burst with beautiful produce, the weather is warming up and the occasional rain doesn’t put a damper on my mood one bit! In fact, all that rain is turning LA nice and green…so, thank you!

Easter brings back great memories for me. My family always did a big egg hunt and my Mother always dressed me and my sister in fluffy, matching, pastel colored outfits…and now that I am a mom…it’s my turn to torture my precious little bunny! I have her Easter basket all picked out and ready for her (of course it is hidden away until the big day) and I can’t wait to take her to meet the Easter bunny for the first time. My parents have always loved to show people these hilarious pictures of us crying with the Easter bunny…I hope Ryan’s kodak moment goes better than ours did!

For all the wonderful things Easter represents , it also always meant a great meal! In our family…Easter was a true feast! A big, juicy ham…veggies, salad, potatoes…you name it…
This year, I am trying my best to keep our Easter healthy and clean! Choosing light but still delicious recipes that have fewer calories but don’t lack flavor. I’m also looking for simple…now that I’m chasing a 10 month old around I can’t spend the whole day cooking, so I’m choosing no-fuss-but-still-gorgeous dishes to fill my Holiday table this year!

I’ll be posting a handful of fun Easter recipes leading up to the big day, so check back for all kinds of inspiration…
Happy Easter!
