I love making pork tenderloin! It truly is such a simple dish and it can take so many different forms. A dry rub gives you a smoky, spicy flavor…while a heaping spoonful of applesauce can give satisfy that sweet and salty craving. I tend to lean towards the spicy side, usually choosing to slather it in as many seasonings as possible!
My go to is a mixture of smoked paprika, cumin and garlic.
It is great sliced on a killer sandwich, chopped up in your morning omelette or as a dinner entree all on it’s own. The possibilities are endless.
My Favorite dry rub goes something like this…
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp cumin
Couple good shakes of cayenne pepper
BIG pinch of kosher salt
1/2 tsp of garlic powder
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Let your pork come to room temperature. Cover with dry rub and …well…rub!
Drizzle with a small amount of olive oil and roast for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and cover with foil. Let it rest for 10 minutes. Don’t skip this part! This makes the pork nice & juicy!
Serve it up!
