I love rustic elements in a home! I love anything old and vintage mixed with beautiful new modern pieces. One thing I love is reclaimed wood…but you can take this trend too far…
Here are two great ways to use reclaimed wood in your home.
Reclaimed Wood Mirror
I love this long mirror! I have three of them, and they have worked well in every home I have ever lived in. They were originally bought for a very cape cod style home. Then, they moved in to a mid century modern house in the hills. They are versatile and great!
(BTW this light fixture is not to be missed either! It is from my favorite home store VintageWeave. It is a vintage french light fixture that my friend Kathy brought back from Paris. Some new electrical and voila!)
Reclaimed Wood Open Shelving
Another place I love using reclaimed wood is in the kitchen! When I designed the kitchen in our new house, I used open shelving in some parts so I could easily display some of my favorite collected knick knacks! Just pick one or two areas, don’t go too overboard. A little reclaimed wood goes a long way.
