Caramelized Onion Crostini

I don’t know if you know this about me, or have noticed by reading my recipes…but I hate raw onions! Don’t like em, don’t want anything to do with them!

I do however, LOVE caramelized onions!

I love the texture, the bit of sweetness that comes through and I love how simple they are to make…


What you need:

2 red onions (sliced in to rings)

Big Pinch of sea salt

1 tbsp of Agave



In a non stick pot or skillet with a lid, cook onions, sea salt & agave on LOW for 1 hour.

BAM! That’s it!


To dress them up, layer a toasted baguette with ricotta cheese, onions, honey & fresh thyme!
