Are you too intimidated by the size of a huge turkey to take a crack at roasting it? Cooking for a small group and there would be too much food wasted? Simply scared of the big bird in general??
This recipe is for you!
This is Thanksgiving Turkey…simplified!!!
Just ask your friendly deli man to point you in the right direction on the boneless turkey breasts!
What you need:
Boneless Turkey Breast
1 onion
1 garlic
Butter
2 tbsp Thyme
5 or 6 leaves of Sage
Sea Salt
3 tbsp Maple Syrup
How to:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees
Arrange the turkey in a baking dish with the onions and garlic cubed and arranged around the breast
Take a paper towel and dry the skin
Shower with sea salt
Bake the breast for 20 minutes
Baste with butter and place back in the oven for another 15 minutes
Baste with butter again, drizzle maple syrup across the breast
Sprinkle thyme and sage across the top of the breast
Bake for another 10 minutes
Remove from oven and let the breast rest for 10 minutes…this locks in all the juices!
Check the meat! Do the juices run clear? You are ready to serve!
