Connie & Ted’s opened up in my neighborhood a few months ago. I took my time going in…
Not sure why. Maybe it was the HUGE location. Everything is small and quaint in WeHo..so it seems odd to have this huge restaurant in the center of West Hollywood. It also could have been the fact that they were a bit snotty when I called to get a reservation. Huge space? No tables?! Hmm ok. Anyway…
Finally went…and was back later THAT week! They perfected the lobster roll. No frills. They serve it up EXACTLY the way it should be. The toasty hot dog bun and it comes two ways…warm, with drawn butter or cold with a touch of mayo. True perfection.
Now, the mac & cheese. Oh. My. God. You have to order this. It’s creamy and topped with perfectly browned bread crumbs. Plus, I love that the serving is small. Then you don’t go toooo crazy.
The Mexican shrimp might be my favorite and they have a great oyster selection.
