Hello friends! I came across this combination by accident. I needed to use up some asparagus before it went bad and I happened to have some delish proscuitto di parma in my fridge. I bought this asparagus at a farmers market and they were the big jumbo size. Due to their size, I blanched (drop in boiling water for a few seconds, then dunk them in to a cold bath to stop the cooking process) these…but if you are working with the pin thin version you can skip that step.
These also work on the grill. So, if you are grillin and swimmin this weekend for Memorial Day these are a great appetizer!
Proscuitto di parma
I left amounts off of the list because it really will just depend on how many people you are serving. Plan on half a slice of proscuitto per spear.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Trim tough ends of the asparagus. Gently wrap proscuitto around each spear. Arrange on a cookie sheet and bake for 15 minutes. Flipping once, halfway through.
