Carpe Diem.


Back in Los Angeles and feeling refreshed and inspired.

Not Much to say about these two dishes. They heirloom uglies (if you read my blog I cook with and write about these often) at trader joes looked so fantastic I have wanted to include them in every meal. So here are two easy options.

A classic caprese salad:
sliced heirloom tomato, fresh burrata cheese, fresh chopped basil, extra virgin olive oil, salt & pepper.
(I seriously don’t know anyone who doesn’t like it)

A grilled salmon wrap:
A seedy multi grain wrap, Grilled wild caught salmon, arugula, heirloom tomato, Extra virgin olive oil, lemon, salt & pepper
and some fresh Parmesan cheese grated on top.
(this was a hit with the boys, since it’s alittle more filling than the caprese)
